When a user submits any form on CONFTOOLS or sends e-mail to CONFTOOLS, that user consents to receiving communications electronically from CONFTOOLS. Furthermore, CONFTOOLS makes no representations or warranties, implied or otherwise, that, amongst others, the content and technology available from this web site are free from errors or omissions or that the service will be 100% uninterrupted and error free.

SECTION B - PAYMENT FACILITY (where applicable)

B.1. PRODUCT COSTS

B.1.1. The price of each service is displayed together with the service, where payment is required or applicable.

B.1.2. No shipping-service or delivery charge is applicable for the services rendered by CONFTOOLS.

B.2. PAYMENT METHODS

B.2.1. Credit card payments, SID Instant EFT:

B.2.1.1. At the time of placing the order, the transaction details are presented to the bank and an authorisation is obtained for the order. CONFTOOLS reserves the right to confirm this authorisation with the bank at a later time.

B.2.1.2. Payment is collected when the order is completed and the registration is accepted.

B.2.1.3. Note that to protect it's own and the interests of customers, CONFTOOLS scrutinises all transactions very carefully to prevent attempted fraud and a transaction may be cancelled / refunded at a later time if CONFTOOLS is not satisfied with it's legitimacy, in any way.

B.2.2. Bank deposit payments and Cash: With details and as described in full on website

B.2.3. Credit card acquiring and security:

B.2.3.1. Credit card transactions will be acquired for CONFTOOLS by PayGate. Payments are processed via a secure platform no credit card details are stored on this website. Users may go to www.paygate.co.za to view their security certificate and security policy.

B.2.4. Customer details separate from card details:

B.2.4.1. Customer details will be stored by CONFTOOLS, its agents / subcontractors / etc. - separately from card details which are entered by the client on PayGate's secure site. For more detail on PayGate refer to: www.paygate.co.za.

B.3. FULFILLMENT

B.3.1 A service is regarded as being 'fulfilled', once the registration has been accepted and entered into our database.

B.4. IMPORT DUTIES

B.5. DELAYS and CANCELLATIONS

CONFTOOLS makes every effort to assure that the information supplied on the site is accurate. Where delays occur, every effort will be made to inform the buyer.

B.6. AGREEMENTS OF SALE

B.6.1. An agreement of sale between CONFTOOLS and a user only comes into effect if and when:

B.6.1.1. A confirmed credit card authorisation is received from the issuing bank; or

B.6.1.2. A confirmed SID Instant EFT authorisation is received from the issuing bank; or

B.6.2.3. A deposit of an electronic transfer is reflected on CONFTOOLS or it's associates bank statement (and only if such payment is received within 3 (three) business days after completion of the purchase process), and it further adheres to the terms set out in B.2.2 hereof; or

B.6.3. CONFTOOLS reserves the right to refuse to accept and/or execute an order without giving any reasons. CONFTOOLS also reserves the right to cancel orders in whole or in part as circumstances dictate.

B.7. STOCK AVAILABILITY

(Not applicable).

B.8. SPECIAL OFFERS

CONFTOOLS shall not be liable for the sale of items / services at lower prices if such prices were increased and users and/or purchasers could not, for any reason whatsoever, conclude an agreement of sale while such prices remained low.

B.9. GUARANTEE

B.10. TRANSFERS

If applicable, payments processed through our payment facility will be transferred to our associates after subtracting any fees payable plus VAT. The transfer of any funds may be withheld until the end of the event or subject to a payment lead-time to ensure that there is a balance available to facilitate refunds or chargebacks (if applicable).

If, at the end of the event, the total fees for the use of our registration facilities are more than the electronic fund balance (total electronic funds processed minus transfers made to your account) an invoice will be issued.

If an associate collected any registration fees themselves without updating the system, the particular associate will be liable to pay these fees to CONFTOOLS.

The bank does reserve the right to adjust the merchant discount rate for the processing of online credit card transactions, in which case CONFTOOLS may adjust the commission by the same percentage points.

B.11. DISPUTES

Should any person be dissatisfied with any associate's processing of an order, CONFTOOLS will strive to mediate such a dispute, but are not responsible for resolving such a dispute.

B.12 CHARGEBACKS

All charge-backs incurred through credit-card transactions processed on this platform, or through manual intervention, will remain the liability and responsibility of the associate and CONFTOOLS reserves the right to charge a fee for bank charges incurred.

SECTION C - PRIVACY POLICY

C.1. GENERAL

This site collects private information from users as required to process registrations, provide services requested by users, and to communicate with users in relation with the event that was signed up for.

Attrahent is committed to compliance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) in respect of all personal data collected.

C.2. WHICH DATA ARE COLLECTED

The data collected and stored depends on the service provided but may include any or all of the following: prefix, name, email, contact number, postal address, organisation, VAT number, password, profile picture and social media handles.

The event organising committees may require to capture additional information for the service provided, but the reason for the information will be communicated.

This site uses cookies to customise the site, and make a user's experience more user-friendly.

C.3. SECURITY MEASURES

We make use of HTTPS to encrypt all our web pages by means of a security certificate with a reputable certificate authority.

We use data centres that have various physical security and networking capabilities in place and are compliant with the ISO/IEC and PCI DSS security certifications.

We make use of DPO Paygate and SID to process payments securely. They ensure secure integration with the banks and are fully PCI DSS compliant. We do not store credit card details on our platform.

Attrahent is obliged to notify users should there be any breach of data.

C.4. RETENTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

All data is retained for as long as is required to provide the services of the event organiser.

This data will then be erased unless a user gives consent to receive further communication from an event organiser.

Personal information shall not be disclosed to any third party outside of the applicable event, unless agreed upon by the user.

C.5. COMPLAINTS

SECTION D - MISCELLANEOUS

D.1. SECURITY

Any person that delivers or attempts to deliver any damaging code to this web site or attempts to gain unauthorised access to any page on this web site shall be prosecuted and civil damages shall be claimed in the event that CONFTOOLS suffers any damage or loss.

The user allows the CONFTOOLS to take all reasonable steps to ensure the integrity and security of the web site and back-office applications.

All credit card transactions are Secure Socket Layers encrypted by the payment gateway. The payment gateway company registration documents and the payment gateway registered domain name are checked and verified by Thawte.

D.2. CHANGES TO AGREEMENT

CONFTOOLS may, in its sole discretion, change this agreement or any part thereof at any time without notice.

D.3. DOMICILIUM

CONFTOOLS chooses as its domicillium citandi et executandi for all purposes under this agreement, whether in respect of court process, notice, or other documents or communication of whatsoever nature, the address as set forth in clause A.1 hereto.

D.4. TERM AND TERMINATION

This agreement shall commence when the user first visits the site and continues until terminated by either party.

D.5. NON-ENFORCEMENT OF RIGHTS

The failure of CONFTOOLS to exercise or enforce any right or provision of these terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.

D.6. NUMBERING AND HEADINGS

The numbering and headings are for convenience only and have no bearing on the interpretation of these terms.

D.7. SEVERABILITY

If any of these conditions shall be deemed invalid, void, or for any reason unenforceable, that condition shall be deemed severable and shall not affect the validity and /or enforceability of any remaining condition.
